Marsha serves as the Assistant Director of the Student Involvement and Leadership Center for Leadership Education and Development Programs. She came to KU in the fall of 2014 from Washburn University where she served as the Assistant Director and Director of Student Activities & Greek Life, as the Associate Director of the Leadership Institute, and as an adjunct faculty member in the Leadership Studies minor.  Prior to that, Marsha was at DePaul University as the program coordinator for Greek Life.  Originally from La Paz, Bolivia, Marsha was raised in Texas.  She earned her Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from Texas State University after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  Marsha is currently completing her PhD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas and has completed her graduate certificate in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.  In her free time, Marsha volunteers with her sorority, Sigma Kappa, and runs to keep up with her partner and two young sons. Marsha is starting her second year as a Leadership Studies instructor and will be assuming responsibility for LDST 532, Leadership Practicum in the Fall of 2016.
