Women's Global Leadership Consortium
The Women's Global Leadership Consortium (WGLC) is a partnership between four colleges and universities from across the U.S. Together, the WGLC partners host the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) Madeleine K. Albright Young Women Leaders program, with the University of Kansas serving as the primary implementing partner. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, whose mission is to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Each year, 80 collegiate women are selected through a competitive process in their home location (outside the U.S.) and attend an intensive 5-week summer institute at one of our four campuses to elevate women's global leadership, build key leadership skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the U.S. The WGLC is a collaborative effort between the University of Kansas, Green River College, the University of Delaware, and Saint Mary's College.
